Boil pasta in large pot of salted water until al dente.
In a large skillet, melt butter and add sliced garlic then saute over medium heat for a couple of minutes.
Add to the garlic butter, cream cheese broken up into smaller pieces. Stir this into the butter as it melts.
When the cream cheese is almost melted, add the hot pasta water, heavy cream, salt, pepper and parmesan cheese. Mix well to make sure all components of the sauce are melted, hot and well incorporated.
When sauce is done and pasta is cooked, add the pasta to the sauce and gently toss to make sure pasta is well coated.
When serving this, sprinkle extra parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes on top. Enjoy!!
