The Best Homemade Spaghetti Sauce Recipe is a zesty tomato sauce base, with garlic, herbs and spices and even has a little spicy kick. This has been a family favorite for over 3 decades!!

Ingredients
229 ounce cantomato Sauce
16 ounce cantomato paste
1-1/2poundsground pork or italian sausage
5cloveschopped, garliccan use garlic in a jar if you prefer
2tbspground oregano
2tbspdried basil leaves
1/3cup olive oil
3dashesred, pepper flakes
1/4tspcayenne pepper
2largepinches of granulated sugar
Instructions
Place olive oil in large saucepan to heat. Add chopped garlic to the saucepan and saute for just 1-2 minutes. You do not want the garlic to brown.
Then add the tomato sauce and tomato paste to the olive oil in the sauce pan and stir to incorporate the tomato paste.
Add all remaining ingredients to the sauce and simmer for 25-30 minutes or sauce is bubbling.

***If you want to add wine, vegetables, cooked ground meats etc, you will add this along with all the other ingredients in the recipe and simmer them in the sauce for the 25 minutes***
