Homemade Bread in a Bread Machine

This recipe produces a lovely tall, light loaf with an amazing flavor. Perfect for a fabulous sandwich or just warm with a slab or butter.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup and 3 Tbsp water
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3-1/4 cups white, bread flour
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp active, dry yeast

Method
 

  1. Place oil, water, sugar in bread pan that is already locked or snapped into place in the bread machine. Then add flour. 
  2. Make a small well on top of the flour and add the yeast to this indentation.
  3. Close the Bread Machine lid. Use "basic bread" setting with a light to medium crust. You can set your machine to "quick bread" if you are in more of a hurry and it turns out wonderful.
  4. When timer on bread machine indicates it is done baking, carefully remove the bread pan from the machine and place on wire rack to cool.
