When it comes to Christmas goodies and gift giving, it can be an overwhelming scenario if you want to give something to everyone that means something to you. Many people want to give a little something to their children’s teachers, their pastor, coworkers and friends. You either need to be able to pare down your list or risk going into debt trying to make it all happen. This is where DIY Mason Jar Cappuccino Mix comes into play.
Mason Jar Cappuccino Mix only takes minutes to make and tastes great all Winter long!!
What better way to spread the holiday cheer than with a cup of something warm and delicious to drink? I have several different recipes that can be given away in a jars or bags, but this Mason Jar Cappuccino Mix is one of my favorites. Most people I know love cocoa and coffee, and this is pretty much both of those things mixed all together.
I love to give fresh baked breads, cookies and candies during the holiday season. However, everyone is in the baking mood, or attending parties where they are already indulging in rich and wonderful treats, so giving more of the same as a gift, runs the risk of being too much.
Mason Jar Cappuccino Mix is a wonderful blend of chocolate, coffee and cinnamon mixed together and given in a decorative jar, so it is a perfect gift!!
I love the idea that I make this in just minutes. Depending on how many jars I plan to make and give out, I buy the ingredients in bulk, which is less expensive. I only need mason jars, and these come in all different sizes.
When I make Mason Jar Cappuccino Mix, I can choose to decorate the mason jars or leave them bare. I like to either tie ribbon around them, place them in a piece of festive seasonal fabric or tuck the jars into a pretty basket. I always make sure to include the directions on how to mix up a mug of Cappuccino on a tag I paste on the front of the jar or that I attach with a fastener.
To make Mason Jar Cappuccino Mix, all you need is a large bowl, the dry ingredients and mason jars with lids. You will measure and pour all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix this up, making sure all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
All that is left, is to divide up the cappuccino mix between the jars. I have a wide mouth funnel that I have from canning that speeds up the process and makes my sloppy self, a little less messy. I have made this by just spooning the mix into jars and that works just fine too.
Mason Jar Cappuccino Mix
- 1 cup Instant chocolate drink mix
- 1 cup instant coffee creamer
- 2/3 cup instant coffee crystals
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
- Divide mixture between mason jars and place lids or make and store in an airtight container.
- To make a mug of cappuccino, place 3 tbsp of dry mix in 6-8 ounces of hot water, stir well to dissolve mix and enjoy!
Like I said, decorate these jars however you see fit. Let your creative side shine and do it up big or keep it simple and rustic. Make sure to put directions on the jar or attach a tag and pass these out to those you hope to bestow a little extra holiday cheer. Oh, don’t forget to make a jar for yourself!! Enjoy!!

Good for the Holidays.
Does it have to be coffee crystals?
It is usually crystals because they dissolve so easily, however, possibly powered coffee or espresso might work.
